WEEK. NO. 12

1. Reference Learning Outcome :- Perform battery Testing and charging operations. (NOS:AGR/N1129)
2. Duration :- Professional Skill 28 Hrs; Professional Knowledge 03  Hrs  (for above learning out come)

TRADE THEORY (Professional Knowledge ) :- 

• • Description of Batteries & cells, Lead acid batteries & Stay Maintenance Free (SMF) batteries, Thermisters, Thermo couples, Relays, Solenoids, Charging system circuit

TRADE PRACTICAL (Professional Skills  With Indicative Hours) :- Job no. & Name of the Practical

• 22. Cleaning and topping up of a lead acid battery, Testing battery with hydrometer, connecting battery to a charger for battery charging, Inspecting & testing a battery after charging, Measure and Diagnose the cause(s) of excessive Key-off battery drain (parasitic draw) and do corrective action. (16 hrs.)
• 23. Testing of relay and solenoids and its circuit. (12 hrs.)

WEEK. NO. 13

1. Reference Learning Outcome :- Construct basic electronic circuits and testing. (NOS:AGR/N9428)
2. Duration :- Professional Skill 14 Hrs; Professional Knowledge 03  Hrs  (for above learning out come)

TRADE THEORY (Professional Knowledge ) :- 

• • Basic electronics: Description of Semiconductors, Solid state devices- Diodes, Transistors,Thyristors, Uni Junction Transistors (UJT), Metal Oxide Field Effect Transistors (MOSFETs), Logic gates-OR, AND & NOT and Logic gates using switches.

TRADE PRACTICAL (Professional Skills  With Indicative Hours) :- Job no. & Name of the Practical

• 24. Identify and test power and signal connectors for continuity, Identify and test different type of Diodes, NPN & PNP Transistors for its functionality, Construct and test simple logic circuits OR, AND & NOT and Logic gates using switches. (14 hrs.)

WEEK. NO.  14

1. Reference Learning Outcome :- Manufacture components with different types of welding processes in the given job. (NOS:AGR/N9429)
2. Duration :- Professional Skill 14 Hrs; Professional Knowledge 03  Hrs  (for above learning out come)

TRADE THEORY (Professional Knowledge ) :- 

• • Introduction to welding and Heat Treatment Welding processes – Oxy – Acetylene welding principles, equipment, welding parameters, edge preparation & fit up and welding techniques.
