- Construction, types of primary and secondary cells/battery.
- Materials used, Specification of cells and batteries.
- Charging process, efficiency, life of cell/battery.
- Selection of cells / Batteries etc.
- Use of Hydrometer.
- Types of electrolytes used in cells and batteries.
- Series/ parallel connection of batteries and purpose of such connections.

- 28. Identify the +ve and -ve terminals of the battery. (02 Hrs.)
- 29. Identify the rated output voltage and Ah capacity of given battery. (01 Hrs.)
- 30. Measure the voltages of the given cells/battery using analog/ digital multimeter. (03 Hrs.)
- 31. Charge and discharge the battery through load resistor. (05 Hrs.)
- 32. Maintain the secondary Battery. (05 Hrs.)
- 33. Measure the specific gravity of the electrolyte using hydrometer. (03 Hrs.)
- 34. Test a battery and verify whether the battery is ready for use or needs recharging. (06 Hrs.)
